Moonlight's Crowd and Culture
Because Moonlight is such an open beach to the public, the
culture and individuals that surround Moonlight are comfortable with new
faces and people in the water. This is not a secluded spot that is ruled by
localism but instead a friendly and nice place to spend a day at the beach.
At the South point (located in front of the South Lifeguard tower), I have
heard a few people yelling at one another for either snaking a wave or
getting in the way of someone else. if you know the rules of surfing and
respect them, all should be good with no bad vibes in the water.
Like always, please be careful and safe at any new surf spot
and respect the other Surfer's in the water. The only times that extreme
caution must be taken is during the Summer months when the beach is packed
full with people and surfers. Please be extremely cautions when surfing and
please wear a leash to protect other surfers and beach goers from a possible
bad day.
