Del Mar Streets Crowd and Culture
Watch out for locals!
There have been incidents in the past with heavy localism at
some of the major breaks on good days so paddle out with a
good attitude and be prepared to give some waves. Mind you,
these occurrences of localism were most apparent at the
River mouth, 15th street and at the reef off of 8th street.
Please show respect to the
locals and you should not have any problems. Remember when
your paddling out that the locals probably have surfed there
every day for years, when it's good and bad, that demands
some respect.
