Directions to Del Mar Shores Surf
Spot
From the North:
-
Take the I-5 SOUTH.
-
Exit Villa De La
Valle.
-
Turn RIGHT so you're
heading WEST.
-
Continue WEST up the
hill.
-
When you reach Old
Highway 101, Continue WEST across 101.
-
Villa De La Valle will
turn into Border and the road will make a sweeping
RIGHT.
-
After this sweeping
RIGHT, the road then changes to Sierra.
-
Continue down to
Sierra to Del Mar Shores Drive. Parking can be found on
this road as well as the two public parking lots that
are against Sierra and Del Mar Shores.
From the South:
-
Take the I-5 NORTH.
-
Exit Villa De La
Valle.
-
Turn LEFT so you're
heading WEST.
-
Continue WEST up the
hill.
-
When you reach Old
Highway 101, Continue WEST across 101.
-
Villa De La Valle will
turn into Border and the road will make a sweeping
RIGHT.
-
After this sweeping
RIGHT, the road then changes to Sierra.
-
Continue down to
Sierra to Del Mar Shores Drive. Parking can be found on
this road as well as the two public parking lots that
are against Sierra and Del Mar Shores.
From Inland North
County:
-
Take the 78 WEST.
-
Take the I-5 SOUTH.
-
Exit Villa De La
Valle.
-
Turn RIGHT so you're
heading WEST.
-
Continue WEST up the
hill.

When you reach Old
Highway 101, Continue WEST across 101.

Villa De La Valle will
turn into Border and the road will make a sweeping
RIGHT.
-
After this sweeping
RIGHT, the road then changes to Sierra.

Continue down to
Sierra to Del Mar Shores Drive. Parking can be found on
this road as well as the two public parking lots that
are against Sierra and Del Mar Shores.
*Please note: There a lot of
different ways to reach this spot by using side roads and other highways.
It’s all a matter of preference and accessibility. I've found these to be
the easiest and least confusing of the bunch. Enjoy!
