Beacon's Crowd and Culture
Many
surf spots embrace the surfer lifestyle and spirit but I
believe that Beacon's does it best. Doesn't matter if it's 1
foot or 20 feet, there will always be people in the parking
lot talking and willing to share experiences. While the
SanDiegoSurfers.com Staff were taking pictures for this
review, we ran into a few people whom we ended up conversing
with for almost an hour. None of us had surf boards with us
bat we all shared one thing, the love of surfing.

Beacon surfer hanging out with man's best friend
Since
Beacon's is somewhat of a secluded break, there are some
locals in the water that are not too fond of new people
paddling out, however, if you paddle out with a good
knowledge of surfing and the right attitude, nothing but fun
times will come your way. Remember that there are surfers
that have spent all of their days waiting for Beacon's to
have the perfect swell and respect that. A good attitude in
the water is a must.
